Chapter 1

Samus was dying. Her life support suit was failing and Ridley was finally able to crush her arch enemy.

At the lab, many doctors were able to retrieve Samus from the volcano and put her on medicine life support. There was a weak heartbeat, but she was still alive. The doctors did all they could do. After they left, a jar was moving. Baby was still contained in the lab for more experimentation. She was able to escape and float all the way to Samus. Baby got a little cut and blood dripped into Samus’ mouth. Nothing happened for the remainder of the day.

Next morning, as the doctors came in to check on Samus, they saw her life coming back. They adjusted some materials and did some tests on her. She was coming back from the spiritual world that had a major grip on her. Her condition continued to grow after a few days.

A week has passed and Samus woke up. The medics were doing some final analysis tests on her before she was able to leave. There was one problem; her natural body temperature actually rose up to over 100 degrees F. She had no fever, yet her body felt hot by the touch. They wanted to keep her, but she demanded that she left the hospital wing. Once she left, she went to her gunship. She wanted to get away from the commanders and star base for as long as she remembered. She always hated that place and always reminded her of her original family’s death. There is only one place she would feel safe. The planet she grew up in: Zebes. The main problem was that even this planet became desolate. For some reason, almost every planet has died faster due to the Metroids actually being mutated and becoming stronger.

Being 50 LYS away, Samus felt easier, yet also more worried. She thought she might never feel safe from the Metroids anymore no matter where she went to. Just then, she heard a noise. A canister was moving by itself. She pulled out the laser gun and got ready to fire at the thing. The canister lifted up and revealed baby.

“Oh baby.” She felt surprised and happy to see her. “What are you doing here? I thought you were locked away in the medical ward to be tested on?”   Baby cooed as she was flying around Samus and hugging her. It was getting too late to stay up, so Samus powered down her gunship and went to sleep in the ship’s bed.
